Susanne Göpferich was an outstanding researcher and teacher, admired for her strong-mindedness, self-discipline and brilliant mind. She was instrumental in making translation process research one of the strongest subfields of Translation Studies today. She was a wonderful source of inspiration to many translation scholars and was generous in sharing her knowledge and expertise. She is sorely missed.
