IDEAS - Iniciativas de desarrollo educativo y sociocomunitario

The International Congress “Educational Institutions as promoters of Social Community development” is developed as a final activity of the IDEAS project: Initiatives for Educational and Social Community Development funded by the PROEDUCA program of Public Education Minister of Costa Rica, and implemented by the Organizational Development Team (EDO) from the Autonomous University of Barcelona and the Technologic Institute of Costa Rica.

The purpose of the Congress is to gather the maximum number of authorities, teachers and managers of educational institutions, regional directors of education, counsellors of youth and adults, pedagogues, social educators, administrative staff, university researchers, experts and other professionals related to it and interested on socio-educational intervention in those groups that, historically, has had more difficulties to carry on their studies.

At the moment, the call for papers is open for poster and oral communication as well. These contributions will allow sharing thoughts, successful experiences and strategies that helps the incorporation of new practices and improvement plans for promoting a change in the institutional policies. Also, it is a good place to exemplify curricular proposes of new teaching-learning processes, of orientation and support that can help to improve integration and equity of vulnerable groups inside the educational system.
