This week training activities related to the Comprehensive Handbook of Tutorial Action developed by IDEAS start. 

The week of 20th to 25th of April, The teachers Joaquín Gairín, María Jesús Comellas and Jordi Pàmies, from UAB, in collaboration with Greivin Ramírez and their support staff Carmen Carranza and Paula Ulloa have participated in the training activites related to the development of the Comprehensive Handbook of Tutorial Action, which have been designed in the framework of IDEAS project.

The training activities are addressed to managers and teachers from the following schools: Sección nocturna CTP de Liberia, Nocturno de Palmares, Nocturno Miguel Obregón, Sección nocturna CTP de Granadilla, Nocturno de Desamparados, Sección Académica Nocturno de Paraíso, Nocturno de Cariari, Nocturno de Siquirres, Nocturno la Julieta, Nocturno de Golfito, Nocturno de Ciudad Neilly and Nocturno Carlos Meléndez.  For developing these activities, we will count on three seats spread in the territory, thus helping them the access of the participants. Then, the first seat has been situated in Cartago to attend the school of the north and centre region, the next seat has been placed in Siquirres, taking care of the Carib region schools, and the third one in Palmar Norte, to train the schools from the South region. Likewise, it’s been invited to participate 13 general dictetorates as well as the 20 coordination committees of the Youth and Adults.

The training activities will re-start next 4th of May and will be developed until 9th of May, with the participation of the teachers Diego Castro, David Rodríguez y Patricia Olmos.

The main goal of the training activities is to encourage the implementation of some activities of Tutorial Action with the purpose of improving rates of continuity for students in night schools in Costa Rica. Hence, the assistants in the training will been encouraged to analyse their work context, institutional and communal, and to give proposals for implementing them during this year with the help of the work-team of UAB and the Instituto Tecnológico of Costa Rica.
