Abstract:	En aquest article discutim breument el rerefons i les explicacions astronòmiques i climàti-ques que han portat històricament al desenvolupament d'algunes de les festivitats, i seguidament analitzem algunes de les característiques etnobotàniques d'algunes d'aquestes festes al migjorn del País Valencià.
Abstract:	In this paper we discuss briefly the background and explanations of astronomical and climate that historically led to the development of some of the festivities, and then we anal-yze some of the ethnobotanical features of some of those festivities from the south of Valencia.
