Abstract:	El presente artículo aspira a arrojar algo de luz acerca del autor de Omníbona, utopía castellana anónima escrita probablemente hacia 1540 y que se conserva en manuscrito único en la Real Academia de la Historia. El texto, conocido desde principios del siglo XIX, apenas ha merecido la atención de la crítica, razón por la cual sigue planteando una serie de incógnitas en asuntos tan elementales como la fecha de redacción o el título de la obra. Por ello, abordaremos en primer lugar los problemas más urgentes que plantea Omníbona para centrarnos luego en el estudio de la figura autorial, cuyo perfil ideológico trazaremos a partir de las reformas que propone en la ficción.
Abstract:	This article sheds light on the author of Omnibona, an anonymous Castillian utopia written around 1540, which has survived in a single manuscript preserved in the Real Academia de la Historia. Although the text has been known since the early years of the 19th century, it has never received much scholarly attention; therefore, matters such as the date of its composition or its original title are still being discussed by those few scholars who have attempted to analyse this literary work. With this in mind, I first approach the central issues presented by Omnibona, and then focus on its author, sketching his ideological profile on the basis of the reforms that he proposes in his utopia.
