L'article que presentem a continuació és una reflexió crítica sobre el Born Centre Cultural, transformat en una icona de la reivindicació nacionalista i pretensions de convertir-lo en centre neuràlgic del turisme, un element més de la Marca Barcelona. En mans de polítics ineptes, l'arqueologia és usada com a arma política per dirigir la opinió pública al seu favor, manipulant el coneixement adquirit i transformant-lo en beneficis a nivell econòmic i polític. L'objectiu de l'article següent és obrir les portes al pensament crític sobre la utilitat que se li dóna a l'arqueologia des dels diferents àmbits del poder per tal de, poc a poc, conscienciar a la població del vertader ús que se li hauria de concedir a l'arqueologia social i reivindicar-la com a eina real de coneixement objectiu i lliure dels interessos del sistema capitalista actual. |

The next article is a critical reflection about Born Centre Cultural, transformed into an icon of nationalist claims and with the will to convert it into a tourism resource, one more element of the Barcelona Brand. In the hands of inept politicians, archeology is used as a political weapon to drive public opinion in their favor, handling and transforming the knowledge acquired in economic and political benefits. The purpose of the following article is to open the door to critical thinking about the utility that is gives to archeology from the political power, and gradually increase the awareness of the true use of it should be given to the social archeology and claim that have to be a real tool for learning objective and free ofthe interests of the current capitalist system. |
