Imagen interna, figura-signo y el esquematismo kantiano

Resum:	El autor presenta una reflexión sobre las corrientes teóricas que hablan de una civilización de la imagen frente a la civilización del libro, la palabra. Establece una diferencia entre figura e imagen y, para ello, parte de la reflexión kantiana sobre el esquematismo. La figura nace de una imagen interna y, en este sentido, el identificar la imagen con la figura, lleva a pensar que aquella es representante de algo ya formado en otra parte y no como ese mismo algo, en tanto es formado en la imagen misma. Sin embargo, la figura, al ser derivada de una imagen, puede ser considerada un signo de algo que lo precede y que lo excede. Para el autor, una figura no sería interpretable si no reenviara a un cierto modo de formar imágenes. El arte intenta representar, con una multiplicidad de figuras, y por medio de las interacciones entre figuras, y un proceso regresivo y progresivo que supera a las figuras como tales y las reconduce a una imagen inicial interna abriéndolas intencionalmente a la totalidad.
Resum:	The author presents a reflection on the theoretical trends that speak of a civilization of the image as opposed to the civilization of the book, the word. He establishes a difference between figure and image and, for that purpose, he draws upon the Kantian reflection on schematism. The figure is born from an internal image and, in this sense, identifying the image with the figure, leads us to think that the former is a representation of something already formed elsewhere and is not like that same something, which is formed in the image itself. Nevertheless, the figure, because of it being derived from an image, can be considered a sign of something which precedes it and exceeds it. For the author, a figure would not be interpretable if it did refer to a certain way of forming images. Art aims to represent, through a multiplicity of figures, and by means of the interactions between figures, and also by means of a regressive and progressive process that surpasses the figures as such and that intentionally lead them back to an internal initial image, opening them to totality.
