Abstract:	Despite recent legislative changes aimed at broadening access to assisted reproductive technologies in France, significant barriers persist. To challenge the prevailing categorization of solo mothers as an inherently vulnerable group, this chapter explores the experiences of French women who undertake cross-border reproductive travel to become solo mothers by choice. Our findings reveal a stark disparity between societal perception and their lived experiences, underscoring how their invisibility perpetuates stigmatization and reproductive exclusion.
