Basado en la conflictiva psicología del «Bastardo» según Marthe Robert, el presente trabajo analiza los diversos avatares de la figura bifronte del padre (el joven «mercader» genovés / el «caballero viejo, de hábito militar») tal y como ésta se objetiva en el Cardenal romano, el Embajador de Francia, el tío de Génova, el suegro mohatrero de Madrid, y por fin en Dios y el Rey. |

Based on the unstable psychology of the 'Bastard', as defined by Marthe Robert, this study analyses the divers incarnations of the two-faced figure of the father -the young Genoese merchant / the «old knight in military garb»- as they appear in the Roman cardinal, the French ambassador, the Genoese uncle, the trickster Madrid father-in-law and, lastly, God and the King. |
