En este trabajo evaluamos, a partir de un estudio de caso, los beneficios de la utilización de los programas de TA para facilitar el acercamiento a la cultura y literatura de las personas sordas. Asimismo, aportamos pautas y reflexionamos sobre la necesidad de diseñar un sistema de traducción automatizada y accesible de español a LSE.
En aquest treball avaluem, a partir d'un estudi de cas, els beneficis de l'ús dels programes de TA per facilitar l'acostament a la cultura i la literatura de les persones sordes. Després de fer un estudi sobre la recepció de dos poemes originals en francès i anglès traduïts per traductores literàries, la versió de TA en castellà i l'adaptació a imatges en LSE, reflexionem sobre l'efecte de factors com ara la dificultat del text i el grau d'adaptació/simplificació del format meta, així com el grau d'alfabetització i de coneixement de la LSE per part dels/les participants, en la comprensió del text en general, així com en la seva percepció i experiència com a text literari. In this paper we evaluate, on the basis of a case study, the benefits of the use of AT programmes to facilitate the approach to culture and literature of deaf people. After studying the reception of two original poems in French and English in their versions translated by literary translators, the MT version in Spanish and the adaptation to images in LSE, we reflect on the effect of factors such as the difficulty of the text and the degree of adaptation/simplification of the target format, as well as the participants' degree of literacy and knowledge of LSE, on the understanding of the text in general, as well as on the perception and experience of the text as literary.
