En esta etnografía virtual analizo la polémica que generó en Marruecos un rezo colectivo que tuvo lugar la noche del 21 de marzo de 2020 en varias ciudades del norte de Marruecos. Las fuentes manejadas permiten observar la reacción de las personas que participaron en los hechos así como las críticas que provocaron aquellos rezos y el papel del estado para regular el discurso religioso en torno al coronavirus.
In this virtual ethnography I analyze the controversy generated in Morocco by a collective prayer that took place the night of March 21, 2020, in several cities in northern Morocco. The sources used allow us to observe the reaction of the people who participated in the events as well as the criticism that those prayers provoked and the role of the state in regulating the religious discourse around the coronavirus.
