In this paper, we revisit the phenomenon of Negative Concord focusing on the Strict vs. Non-Strict divide. With Catalan as a case in point, we show that Negative Concord Items (NCIs) are not negative quantifiers (NQs) or polarity items (PIs) but inherently negative indefinites by virtue of carrying a negative feature [neg] that contributes a negative semantics to the proposition and is subject to a syntax-phonology constraint that forces it to overtly c-command Tense in compliance with Jespersen's NegFirst principle. L'amistat cívica a Aristòtil : concòrdia i fraternitat

En la política contemporània, l'amistat s'associa a males pràctiques i corrupció. Aquesta recerca estudia l'obra ètica i política d'Aristòtil, el qual, contràriament a la percepció actual, considerava que l'amistat cívica o ciutadana ajudaria a una major estabilitat i un clima de cooperació entre els integrants de la comunitat política: com a fraternitat civil, propiciaria una major solidaritat i una millor convivència entre els ciutadans, i com a concòrdia, evitaria la discòrdia o lluita entre les classes socials.
En la política contemporánea, la amistad se asocia a malas prácticas y corrupción. Esta investigación estudia la obra ética y política de Aristóteles, quien, contrariamente a la percepción actual, consideraba que la amistad cívica o ciudadana ayudaría a una mayor estabilidad y un clima de cooperación entre los integrantes de la comunidad política: como fraternidad civil, propiciaría una mayor solidaridad y una mejor convivencia entre los ciudadanos, y como concordia, evitaría la discordia o lucha entre las clases sociales.
In contemporary politics, friendship is associated with malpractices and corruption. This research examines the ethical and political work of Aristotle, who, contrary to current perceptions, considered that civic friendship could help to reach greater stability and a climate of cooperation among members of the political community: as civic fraternity, causing greater solidarity and better coexistence between citizens, and, as concord, avoiding discord and struggle among social classes.
