A pesar de que el término "fraseología", prácticamente no existe en la lingüística árabe, el concepto tampoco está ausente, puesto que los antiguos lingüistas árabes fueron pioneros en este campo. Gracias a sus colecciones recopilatorias de refranes que se remontan al siglo VIII d. C. , dieron a conocer muchos fenómenos lingüísticos que hoy llamaríamos "colocaciones", "locuciones", "paremias", etc. entre otros, pero no acuñaron una terminología tan precisa para denominarlos. En la década de los sesenta del siglo pasado, se incrementó el interés por los estudios dedicados a la fraseología por parte de los investigadores árabes, siguiendo los criterios de la lingüística moderna, y motivados por los estudios extranjeros (sobre inglés y francés) que sirvieron como punto de partida a estudios posteriores. Sin embargo, los investigadores árabes elaboraron estos trabajos sobre colocaciones, locuciones y otros tipos de unidades fraseológicas de forma independiente, y no bajo la visión de conjunto que implica hoy la denominación "fraseología". Este artículo recorre la evolución metalingüística en cuanto a la fraseología árabe, tanto antigua como actual, prestando especial atención a diversos tipos de unidades fraseológicas según los lingüistas árabes antiguos, los arabistas extranjeros y los investigadores árabes modernos. |

Although the term "phraseology" practically does not not exist in Arabic linguistics, the concept is not absent too, since ancient Arab linguists were pioneers in this field. Thanks to their collections of proverbs from the 8th century AD, many linguistic phenomena came to light, that would be called nowadays "collocation", "idiom", "paroemia", etc. , though they did not develop such a precise terminology. In the 1960s, Arab researchers became more interested in the studies of phraseology, following the criteria of modernlinguistics, and motivated by foreign studies (about English and French), which were used as the starting point for subsequent studies. Nevertheless, the Arab researchers carried out this work on collocations, idioms and other types of phraseological units independently, not from the global vision inherent to the term "phraseology". This article follows the metalinguistic status of Arabic phraseology, both in the past and at present, paying attention to different types of phraseological units according toancient Arab linguists, foreign Arabists and modern Arab researchers. |
