El efecto de la inmigración en la movilidad social intergeneracional en España

Abstract:	El artículo se plantea el efecto que la inmigración tiene en el comportamiento de la movilidad social intergeneracional ¿hasta qué punto la población inmigrante ha alcanzado posiciones similares en el tiempo con respecto a los autóctonos? Y en este sentido ¿cabe plantear la tesis sobre la convergencia en el largo plazo? y ¿cabe confirmar la hipótesis de una caída de la tasa de movilidad ascendente de los varones y la acentuación de la rigidez masculina? Siguiendo la metodología habitual basada en los aportes de J. H. Goldthorpe, los resultados muestran una importante movilidad descendente e inmovilidad de los inmigrantes que reflejaría un mecanismo de integración social donde todavía no se observa la pronosticada etapa subsiguiente de contramovilidad ascendente. En términos de movilidad relativa, se refleja una pauta de comportamiento de mayor rigidez social que contribuye a morigerar la tendencia más fluida de la población autóctona protagonizada por las mujeres.
Abstract:	The article discusses the effect of immigration on intergenerational social mobility, to what extent the immigrant population has reached similar positions in time with respect to native people? In this sense, does the thesis be raised on convergence in the long term? In addition, it should confirm the hypothesis of a fall in the rate of upward mobility of men and accentuation of masculine rigidity? Following the usual methodology based on the contributions of J. H. Goldthorpe, results show a significant downward mobility and an immobility of immigrants, reflecting a social integration mechanism where a subsequent, and waited, upward countermobility still is not observed. In terms of relative mobility, the arrival of immigration reflects a pattern of behavior of higher social rigidity that helps to moderate the fluidity trend of the native people, which have shaped specifically for women.
