La estética semiótica de C. S. Peirce

Resumen:	Este artículo presenta la discusión de una posible teoría estética extraída de los conceptos semióticos que C. S. Peirce. Para ello, se exploran las posibilidades de la semiótica para pensar la construcción de una estética con base a una teoría de los signos. A través del recorrido por diversos estudios sobre el tema que, sin embargo, manifiestan la ausencia de cualquier mención a la semiótica filosófica, el artículo propone aplicar al signo estético las categorías peircianas y, aunque éste, aparentemente, se refiera a algo externo, sin embargo, la esencia de lo estético no es su referencia, sino su ambigüedad. Por ello, aunque el signo estético no tenga un compromiso directo con el contexto, sin embargo es el signo que más íntimamente se aproxima a lo real. Definido como casi-signo, entre ser signo, siendo cosa, el signo estético es el único tipo de signo que roza lo imposible con lo real.
Resumen:	This article presents the discussion about a possible aesthetic theory which is extracted from the semiotic concepts of C. S. Peirce. For that purpose, it explores the possibilities that Semiotics has for thinking the construction of an Aesthetics based on a theory of signs. Through the consideration of diverse studies on the subject that, nevertheless, show the absence of any mention to Philosophical Semiotics, this paper proposes to apply the Peircian categories to the aesthetic sign and, although the latter, apparently, talks about something external, nevertheless, the essence of the aesthetic is not its reference, but its ambiguity. For that reason, although the aesthetic sign does not have a direct involvement with the context, it is nevertheless the sign that comes most intimately close to the real. Defined as an almost-sign -between being a sign and being a thing- the aesthetic sign is the only type of sign that clears the impossible with the real.
