Abstract:	Este artículo cuestiona la posible presencia del folclore local en una época de folclore globalizado. A partir de las categorías críticas aportadas por los estudios góticos y los recientes debates sobre el folk horror, este artículo estudia el uso de los creepypasta (relatos de terror producidos y difundidos en internet que constituyen un ejemplo de folclore digital) en la novela Mandíbula (2018) de Mónica Ojeda. Al analizar la novela de Ojeda, pretendo demostrar cómo la adopción masiva de referencias folclóricas digitales sirve para desafiar las ansias de globalización y la desterritorialización que alimentan el texto e impregnan su narración de la adolescencia.
Abstract:	This article investigates the role of local folklore in the age of globalized folklore. By adopting the critical categories of the Gothic and of folk horror, this article discusses the use of creepypasta (horror short stories, produced and diffused on the Internet, that can be considered an example of digital folklore) in the novel Mandibula (2018) by Mónica Ojeda. Through an analysis of Ojeda's novel, I highlight how the wide presence of references to digital folklore is aimed at portraying those anxieties related to globalization and deterritorialization that permeate the text and influence its narration of adolescence.
