La literatura sino-malasia del siglo XX : una introducción histórica y algunas consideraciones

Abstract:	El presente artículo explora la evolución de la literatura sino-malasia en el contexto de los cambios sociopolíticos y culturales de los territorios que conforman la actual Malasia a lo largo del siglo XX. La literatura en lenguas siníticas producida dentro y fuera de las fronteras del país por autores nacidos, criados o vinculados a ese contexto histórico, político y social se ha conformado como un espacio vital para la negociación de identidades y la resistencia cultural frente a las políticas estatales que han buscado homogeneizar la diversidad lingüística y cultural de Malasia.
Abstract:	This article explores the evolution of Sino-Malaysian literature in the context of socio-political and cultural changes in the territories that make up present-day Malaysia throughout the twentieth century. Literature in Sino-Malaysian languages produced within and beyond the country's borders by authors born, raised or linked to that historical, political and social context has become a vital space for the negotiation of identities and cultural resistance to state policies that have sought to homogenise Malaysia's linguistic and cultural diversity.
