Abstract:	We assessed hygiene with wet wipes in bedridden patients with urinary catheters for catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) prevention. CAUTIs occurred in 16. 5% of the control group compared to 5. 9% of the intervention group (P =. 035). Hygiene with wet wipes can substitute for conventional hygiene for preventing CAUTI.
