Este artigo pretende analisar a hipótese de manipulação da realidade narrada no filme Cidade de Deus (2002), uma favela localizada na região oeste do Rio de Janeiro. A partir desta proposta discursiva, o ensaio pretende contextualizar a maneira pela qual a trama foi enfocada, questionando a suposta aproximação e adaptação ao gênero gangsteriano, despertando a sensação de uma "história fabricada" dentro de um contexto real: o universo favela, exótico à bilheteria internacional.
Este artículo pretende analizar la hipótesis de manipulación de la realidad narrada en el film Ciudad de Dios (2002), una favela localizada en la región oeste do Río de Janeiro. A partir de esta propuesta discursiva, se pretende contextualizar la manera en la cual la trama ha sido enfocada, cuestionando la supuesta aproximación y adaptación del género gangster, despertando la sensación de una «historia fabricada» dentro de un supuesto contexto real: el universo favela, exótico escenario para captar la atención de la taquilla internacional.
Aquest article preten compartir amb els seus lectors una aproximació a partir de l'estudi d'una película basada en la realitat de les faveles d'un barri a l'oest d'en Río de Janeiro, que serveix de pretext per a que realitzador i guionistes de "Ciutat de Déu" (2002) ens plantejin una trama central a través d'aquesta suposada aproximació i adaptació al gènere gàngsters, des d'un format de caricatura, creant un cliché discursiu. Artikulu honetan Ciudad de Dios (2002) filmean, Rio de Janeiroko mendebaldean kokatzen den favela batean, narratzen den errealitatearen manipulazioaren hipotesia aztertzen da. Proposamen honetan, saiakerak trama nola fokatu zen atera nahi du azalera , gangsterren generoan moldatu eta hurbiltzeko keinua zalantzan jartzen du, testuinguru erreal batean "Istorio fabrikatua" delako sentimena sortzen du: favelako unibertsoa, nazioarteko salmentarako exotikoa.
This article seeks to discuss whether or not the reality of life in a West Rio the Janeiro favela, as depicted in the 2002 film City of God, has been manipulated. With this discursive proposition as starting point, the essay will attempt to contextualise the way the plot was rendered, and to question the degree to which it resembles reality, as well as its adaptation to the gangster genre which gives rise to the feeling that, within a real context, this is a 'fabricated story': what international audiences would see as the exotic world of the favela.

Este artículo trata de posibilidades, conveniencias y dificultades del movimiento de aproximación entre los estudios de retórica y de comunicación periodística. Contribuciones de Van Dijk, Teruel-Planas y otros investigadores del ámbito iberoamericano y catalán ayudan a comprender el carácter esencialmente retórico de muchos de los procedimientos básicos del periodismo dicho informativo y de ciertas cuestiones todavía cruciales en las discusiones sobre periodismo que vienen, en verdad, desde los sofistas.
This paper is focused on the possibilities, conveniences and difficulty of the approaching movement between the studies of the rhetoric and the communication in journalism. Contributions by Van Dijk, Teruel-Planas and other Iberoamerican and Catalan researchers help to understand the essentially rhetorical nature of many basic procedures of the media said informative and of some crucial issues on the debates about journalism, which exist, in fact, since the sophists.

Lejos de lo que pueda parecernos, la existencia de las drogas en nuestra sociedad no es un fenómeno de épocas recientes. Al contrario, a poco que profundicemos en las fuentes clásicas nos encontramos con una amplia variedad de este tipo de substancias así como diversas formas de empleo que demuestran que los habitantes del mundo antiguo fueron plenamente conscientes de su presencia, sirviéndose de ellas para múltiples fines.
Far from which it can seem to us, the existence of drugs in our society is not a phenomenon of recent times. On the contrary, we just have to deepen into the classic sources and we will find a wide variety of this type of substances as well as diverse forms of using them that demonstrate that the inhabitants of the ancient world were totally conscious of their presence, making use of them for multiple aims.
