The UAB's strategic commitment to MOOC

UAB entered the MOOC world seeking for consistency with its strategic plan. As stated in this plan, there is an aim to transfer scientific, technological, cultural and educational knowledge through quality teaching, as well as a clear international vision.

That’s the reason why UAB joined Coursera in March 2013, sharing this virtual space with universities like Standford, Princeton or Yale, and eventually reaching over 200 million students around the world. UAB became the first public university in Spain in Coursera, and since then we have published there almost 100 courses.

To guarantee open access to our courses, we have chosen to implement part of our MOOC catalog in this digital repository.
