En el presente estudio se pretende abordar el papel de la desautomatización fraseológica en la generación del humor. Concretamente, estudiaremos el empleo de unidades fraseológicas modificadas (UFM) y sus implicaciones cognitivas en el género del monólogo humorístico. Podemos distinguir dos tipos fundamentales de variación en relación con las unidades fraseológicas (UF): las variantes institucionalizadas - codificadas- y las modificaciones ocasionales -producidas voluntariamente por los hablantes persiguiendo cierta finalidad. Este último grupo −objeto de nuestro análisis− constituye la parcela más inestable y creativa de la variabilidad fraseológica. Las modificaciones se nutren de la potencialidad creadora de las UF y de la intencionalidad de su autor, y entre sus diversas finalidades se encuentra la de generar efectos humorísticos. Estas modificaciones se pueden clasificar en dos tipos: 1) modificaciones formales; y 2) modificaciones semántico-contextuales y pragmáticas (Mena Martínez 2002). En el monólogo humorístico la fraseología actúa como un indicador fundamental para la consecución de la risa mediante, entre otros aspectos, la afectación de distintos principios pragmáticos (fundamentalmente los de manera e informatividad), tal y como se explica en la revisión que Ruiz Gurillo (2012) realiza de la Teoría General del Humor Verbal (TGHV). Asimismo, puesto que tanto la fraseología como el humor cuentan con una sólida base cognitiva, para llevar a cabo un análisis riguroso de ambos resulta conveniente tener en cuenta toda una serie de postulados cognitivistas (corporeización del significiado, semántica de marcos, gramática de construcciones, espacios mentales, integración conceptual). De este modo, con este estudio se pretende mostrar la forma en que distintos elementos intervienen en la desautomatización de UF, así como los cambios que implican, considerando dichas modificaciones como correlato lingüístico de unas determinadas estructuras y operaciones cognitivas. |

This paper aims to address the role of phraseological de-automatization in the generation of humor. Specifically, we will study the use of modified phraseological units (MPU) and their cognitive implications in humorous monologues. We can distinguish two main types of variation in relation to phraseological units (PUs): the institutionalized variants -coded in the linguistic system- and the occasional modifications -produced voluntarily by the speakers in pursuit of a certain goal. This last group, which is the object of our analysis, constitutes the most unstable and creative parcel of phraseological variability. Modifications are the result of the creative potential of PUs and the intentionality of their author, and among their various purposes is that of generating humorous effects. These modifications can be classified into two types: 1. formal modifications; and 2. semanticcontextual and pragmatic modifications (Mena Martínez 2002). In the humorous monologue, phraseology acts as a fundamental indicator for the achievement of laughter by means of, among other aspects, the affectation of different pragmatic principles (fundamentally those related with manner and informativity), as explained in the revision that Ruiz Gurillo (2012) has developed of the GTVH. Likewise, since both, phraseology and humor, have a solid cognitive base, in order to carry out a rigorous analysis of them it is convenient to take into account several cognitive postulates (embodiment, frame semantics, construction grammar, mental spaces, conceptual integration). Thus, this study aims to show how different elements participate in the deautomatization of PUs, as well as the changes they imply, considering these modifications as a linguistic correlation of certain cognitive structures and operations. |
