Abstract: This workshop brought together researchers in K-reporters to lay the groundwork for reconceptualizing childhood studies and children's rights from interdisciplinary perspectives, with an emphasis on intersectionality and decoloniality. It asked what an intersectional approach to children's rights studies entails, as well as what the intellectual and political project of decolonizing childhood studies might mean and look like in field research, theorizing, and praxis. Through three invited keynotes and contributions across disciplinary and geographical boundaries, the workshop fostered critical debates on the current state of knowledge concerning children's rights and childhood, with a vision of developing a framework for further refinement by the project team.
