Resum:	El artículo analiza el rol que desempeña el espacio en la película Chico ventana también quisiera tener un submarino (Alex Piperno, 2020), bajo la premisa de que este actúa a modo de metáfora de la globalización. Para ello, parte del estudio del espacio en el fantástico de Patricia García, especialmente de su tipología del rizoma fantástico, así como de teorías sociales y literarias acerca de la globalización. Estableciendo un paralelismo entre el rizoma fantástico y el espacio de flujos, este último teorizado por Manuel Castells, el artículo estudia qué aporta esta figura propia del fantástico a la representación de un fenómeno comúnmente abordado desde el realismo.
Resum:	This article analyzes the role played by space in the film Window Boy Would Also Like to Have a Submarine (Alex Piperno, 2020) under the assumption that it acts as a metaphor of globalization. Drawing from Patricia Garcia's study of the space in the fantastic, particularly the typology of the fantastic rhizome, as well as from social and literary theories of globalization, I make a parallel between the fantastic rhizome and the space of flows theorized by Manuel Castells. I finally examine the potential applying of a fantastic-oriented typology to the representation of a phenomenon usually considered from a realist perspective.
