Institut de Recerca Sant Pau
The Institut de Recerca Sant Pau, CERCA center and Health Research Institute accredited by the ISCIII, is a biomedical research foundation of excellence, attached to the UAB, which promotes basic, clinical, epidemiological and translational research with the aim of improving people's health and quality of life, through the production and dissemination of scientific knowledge, the training of international researchers, the generation of health innovations, the application of advances in care practice and health policies.


Research is carried out through consolidated, emerging and associated groups that are organized in strategic areas of research in onco-hematological diseases, in cardiovascular diseases, in neurological diseases, neurosciences and mental health, in epidemiology, public health and care primary and translational medicine and at the same time work is being done on transversal research programs in advanced therapies, in genomic medicine and rare diseases, in biomarkers for prognoses and diagnostics, in healthcare improvements, in women's and gender health and in Covid-19.
